This happened in 1940 in a cartoon short titled “A Wild Hare”. As a sarcastic reply to Fudd’s skills as a hunter, Bugs Bunny called his nemesis Elmer Fudd a “poor little nimrod”. 

Most kids were not aware of Nimrod’s biblical reference and the sarcasm did not strike them.
